   不锈钢分很多种，其中的有磁性的被人们称为不锈铁，其实，它们也属于不锈钢。
    不锈铁是不锈钢的一种。不锈钢为什么不生锈，那是因为内部含有铬元素.整个不锈钢体系分为四大类:第一:马氏体不锈钢:直接添加铬,磁性,热处理型的不锈钢.热处理可以生成淬火高强度马氏体,并具备针状微观组织.第二:铁素体不锈钢:直接添加铬,磁性但不进行热处理的不锈钢,铁素体相往往存在着.第三:奥氏体不锈钢:含有铬,镍元素,非磁性,不进行热处理的不锈钢，奥氏体经淬火后,变的非常坚韧,延展性好,且强度相当高,第四类:沉淀硬化不锈钢（双相不锈钢）:这一类钢即包含马氏体,也有奥氏体的存在.价格方面，不锈钢普遍比不锈铁贵。俗称的不锈铁就是非奥氏体的不锈钢，它们具有一定的磁性即不锈铁指的是有磁性的不锈钢，不锈铁的金相组织是铁素体和马氏体，通常所说的不锈钢的金相组织是奥氏体．民间称马氏体不锈钢和铁素体不锈钢即为“不锈铁”.
   不锈铁与不锈钢相比主要是在于是否含镍！不锈铁一般是指日本的SUS430,国内为1Cr17,主要化学成分为:C:<0.12,Si:<0.75,Mn<100,P:<0.035,S<0.030,Ni:<0.60,Cr:16.00-18.00为铁素体不锈钢。
  不锈铁是含铬而不含镍的，也成为Cr不锈钢，就有一定的防腐蚀能力！不锈铁不是俗语，通俗认为具有铁磁性的不锈钢，我认为主要指1Cr17(铁素体)系列、1Cr13(马氏体)系列，而Fe以奥氏体形式存在时不具铁磁性。文中以Ni/Cr区分容易误会，虽然它们导致了Fe的同素异构。但Fe、Ni为铁磁，Cr为顺磁性。高性能软磁材料1J系列很多是Ni基。
  而不锈钢是既含铬又含镍的，由于镍属于较稳定元素，那么它的抗腐蚀能力自然要比不锈铁强很多！
  由于镍的价格较贵，所以从成本上不锈钢要高于不锈铁，再加上抗腐蚀能力的差异，不锈钢价格比不锈铁高出1/4~1/3 （仅供参考）
